Teaching Aalsmeer & TuneUp(Haarlem)

Dear all,
As from now, I'll be able to take on new students again in the area of Amsterdam (Aalsmeer).

I'm also starting my lessons @ 'TuneUp', a really nice school based in Haarlem.

DK Drumworks

Below a nice vid in HD of me playing my new DK Drumworks kit.

13x6,5 snare
These 'alpha' series European Hickory DK-shells sound absolutely killer.
Also thanks to the woodhoops and satinoil woodfinish, it looks stunning too.

Below you can listen to the first of a few podcasts I made where I talk about how some of the music on my up coming 3rd solo album 'On Impulse' came together.

Studio Done! ready for recording and teaching again:)

Now that my studio is done and amazing, I can do private teaching again too. Both there, as well as in central Bremen. So if anybody is interested,..just drop me a message on sebastiaancornelissen@gmail.com and we can set up a time or schedule.
Also for recordings etc. I've got two Ayotte custom drumkits ready to go. Wide selection of Se electronics microphones. Mackie HDR24, Mac g5 with Logic, Apogee converters, Tascam total recall console Fender Rhodes, loads of cymbals,... you name it:)
The room sounds fantastic and the surroundings are wonderful too.

Uturn- Album update!

For over the last 2,5 years(but could be more), I've been working hard to get a new ' solo' project out on CD.
It's been taking a lot of time due to the amount of guests appearing on the tunes, and my personal situation changing back and forth a whole lot. Hence the title of the CD.
Most of those changes were positive though (at least at the end).
I kept recording new tunes and ideas along this peculiar ride and ended up with enough tunes for more than one album. But that's good, coz this will maybe be a start for whatever comes after the release. The idea was to compile a bunch of compositions that showed a bit of a different side of me, compared to my previous releases. Secretly I believe I succeeded a little; because it's far more produced, more groove orientated at times, layered with loops, fills and effects etc.
I enjoyed using a variety in sounds, like the instrumentation I have at the studio and the use of brush-playing and the digitally edited rhythms and waveforms.
The other musicians helped making this possible and gave the songs it's final shape. Each one of those amazing players added something truely special. I feel very lucky to have them all on board.
